The Only Full-Time Practicing Lawyer Running for President-Elect State Bar of Texas

Randy Sorrels is a full-time practicing lawyer and managing partner at Abraham, Watkins, Nichols, Sorrels, Agosto & Aziz. He began his career at Fullbright & Jaworski and has practiced the last 27 years at Abraham Watkins. Every day, Randy identifies law firm issues and seeks common sense solutions. The son of a US Army Officer, Randy started working at age 16 and has never stopped. Like he runs his practice, Randy believes the State Bar should be in the customer service business with Texas lawyers being the customers. He believes if the SBOT will put the interests or Texas lawyers first, Texas lawyers will be in a better position to effectively help their clients, communities, families and other interests. Randy's campaign is not about creating a crisis, but is about protecting the rights of lawyers to govern lawyers and identifying ways the State Bar can better serve all lawyers.

Publication & Presentations

Randy has consistently been involved in CLE presentations and has been published in local, state and national publications. While in law school, he was a member of the South Texas Law Review, and still today writes and speaks in the legal arena to help educate other lawyers on various topics.
